Google Address Autocomplete API Example

Google offers a free service to help users enter addresses into forms on websites by suggesting them as they type. This is great for reducing typing errors and making the process more intuitive for customers. However, it doesn't validate or standardize the addresses entered which can lead to inaccurate data or even invalid addresses that are impossible to correct.

Google's address autocomplete API also requires a lot of setup and configuration. You need to set up an account with Google, get an API key and configure your web app with the settings for address autocomplete (including the address search radius). You also need to specify if you want to include or not include a map in your form. You need to specify the language and character set your application will use, as well as any country filters that are required for the address search.

Another issue is that Google only provides predictions for US-based addresses, and doesn't provide a way to filter results based on country or other parameters. And finally, it's difficult to limit address searches to specific streets or even neighborhoods.

Smarty's US Autocomplete Pro offers a better solution to address autocomplete by only suggesting valid addresses as a user types. We offer full country support, standardized addresses, and the ability to search in specific neighborhoods or streets. We also offer a free API and a premium API with different quotas to meet your needs. To get started, visit the npm website and install the plugin.
